Corpus Christi is the most prominent festival in Valenzuela, recognized as a Festival of Provincial Tourist Interest.
It is celebrated on the Sunday following Corpus Thursday, transforming the streets of the town into a spectacle of color and devotion. Residents create sawdust carpets dyed with geometric and floral designs, stretching for approximately 2 km. These carpets, along with flowerpots, altars, and balconies decorated with shawls and bedspreads, adorn the route of the Custody procession, an 18th-century silver piece. Preparation begins days in advance, and in the early hours from Saturday to Sunday, the community gathers to lay the sawdust, culminating with a chocolate feast. On Sunday afternoon, the procession moves through the decorated streets, accompanied by the Ciudad de Porcuna music band.
